The New Kids on the Block:

Roamin’ Holiday: Christmas with The Humble Stumble

Roy Schneider has created Roamin’ Holiday: Christmas With The Humble Stumble, a special Christmas adventure starring Molly and Joe Humble. This charming holiday story takes a lighthearted look at not getting to spend Christmas with the ones we love. Roamin’ Holiday follows accidental adventurers as they try to make their way to a “normal” Christmas, and then finally embrace their situation and make the best of it. This special NEA Christmas strip runs from December 3rd through December 25th.

Matt Bors: Editorial Cartoonist

Comics.com welcomes the newest addition to our editorial cartoonist panel, Matt Bors. Offered three times a week, Bors relentlessly skewers the latest absurdities of American politics and culture through his editorial cartoons. From war to religion to obsessive lawn care, Bors' cartoons dissect and expose the news--avoiding the Donkeys and Elephants of many of his peers--to make readers think and laugh about real issues (as well as the pressing matter of obsessive lawn care).

Lisa Benson: Editorial Cartoonist

This freelance artist and graphic designer from California has been drawing her beautifully rendered editorial cartoons in the Victor Valley Daily Press since 1992. Benson has earned first-place honors from the California Newspaper Publishers Association (under 75,000 circulation) in 2000 and second place in 2004. In 2005, she took both second and third place from the Society of Professional Journalists’ Inland Southern California Chapter.

Coming Soon: Family Tree

Created by Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonist Signe Wilkinson, Family Tree is a sophisticated contemporary comedy. The Tree family – Ames, Maggie, Twig and Teddy – is living green, but modern family life could prove to be a bigger challenge than saving the planet. Tackling everything from shopaholic teens to the real differences between girls and boys, Family Tree is a groundbreaking family comedy that draws on Wilkinson’s wit (and her years of close personal experience with teenagers). "Family Tree combines my interests in raising tomatoes and raising children, neither of which ever goes exactly as we plan," says Wilkinson. "Even though my husband and I were consistently brilliant parents, we managed to create enough detours from perfection to provide inspiration for Family Tree."

Frazz Charity Swim a Success

Frazz creator and noted triathlete Jef Mallett combined two of his favorite things - learning and getting tired – on Sept. 3, 2007, when he swam across the Straits of Mackinac to help raise money for Mentor Michigan, an organization that furthers youth mentoring in Jef's home state.
